This is a simple tutorial on how to dissasemble a motor. I will be using a modified stock motor for this.

1. take the motor and de-solder the ground capacitors and remove the endbell as shown.


Remove the endbell

Those are the brushes I have circled


Now things should look like this inside the can


2. Pull the armature out of the can and remove that pesky little "u" clip inside with a small flat head screwdriver or pick.





Now the inside of the can should look like this


That's it your done

BTW: its also a good idea to drill a vent hole in the top of the can to help with the hot temp. Make sure to clean the scrapings out as this could hit the armature and ruin your motor
